Bonaly Outdoor Centre

Bonaly is a 16 acre centre providing excellent facilities for camping and activities.

The main camping area is in the central field, which can accept up to 200 campers and is suitable for groups of any size from individual or patrols up to full group camps.

The central field is split into ten sites each with its own altar fire and shelter which may be used to store equipment.

Loncraig Scout Centre

Longcraig is a Scout water activities centre based at South Queensferry near Edinburgh.  Each year it enables over 2000 young people from all over the world to experience the thrill and sense of adventure that sailing, kayaking and cruising can offer.

The centre provides RYA dinghy sailing courses and BCU accredited courses to young people, and adults from voluntary organisations other than Scouts/Guides.

Borthwick Scout Campsite

Borthwick Campsite, Currie Bridge About 10 miles south of Edinburgh in a sheltered valley surrounded by mixed woodland and farmland. Suitable for Group or Sectional camps of supervised and experienced campers. Campsite facilities:

  • Hut (60 x 30ft) suitable for wet weather
  • Onsite toilets / water
  • Camping
  • Campfire circle

South East Region Headquaters

The hub of the South East Region is at Valleyfield Street in Edinburgh.

This purpose built Scout Centre serves many purposes but in the main is the administrative centre of the South East Region.

Within the building there is;

  1. Two fully equipped modern offices
  2. A large hall for meetings, conferences, training events and activities
  3. A crush hall for break out sessions
  4. A fully equipped training room
  5. A ‘board room’ style meeting room
  6. A kitchen
  7. Storage facilities for the Edinburgh Gang Show and Scouting archives

Our building is WIFI enabled allowing users to make use of the internet during meetings and training sessions. If you wish to make use of WIFI you must advise the Regional Secretary Alan Willoughby in advance.

The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

South East Scotland Regional Scout HQ, Valleyfield Street is available for hire for Scouting and non-Scouting groups.
