The South East Region of Scottish Scouting came into existence on 1st April 2008.
The emphasis in the region is to give local Districts more scope to plan and deliver programme support for young people and adults involved in Scouting. It will not be the responsibility of the Region to organise local Scouting events, this will be done by Districts managed by the District Commissioner and their teams with specific programme responsibilities. The line of communications for programme support will also flow directly now from Scottish Headquarters to Assistant District Commissioners. The Regional Team of South East Scotland Scouts will focus on strategic and long-term objectives of ensuring effective communication and development as well as the training of adult members in the Region. Please contact anyone of the Regional Team for more information about how Scouting can be developed for more young people and adults in your area. Regional Team Information
